My boyfriend and I went to a friend's Indian Summer party on the beach in San Francisco today. The day was filled with an endless amount of fun and awesomeness! When the sun started to set, we made a fire pit and I pulled out my camera and started taking shots of the flames. After we left the beach, it took FIVE HOURS to get home when it should only be an hour drive, but I would be lying if i didn't say I didn't like every minute of it.
(The traffic was annoying and I was tired, but the company was awesome <3)

Objects in the picture may be smaller than they appear
When I got off work tonight, my grandma was like "We are having Burger King for dinner. Are you in the mood for a chocolate milkshake?" Who couldn't say yes to that question? The picture makes the cup look gigantic, but it was actually a small. If I got anything bigger I would have been barfing my guts out thanks to lactose intolerancy.

It's A Kitty!
I was walking past this house that has beautiful rose bushes outside and this kitty scared me because I didn't realize it was laying on the fence. She was pretty playful so I decided to take a picture of her. I found it amusing that she had pink fur on her face, but I couldn't figure out what it was from. Maybe she was playing in the roses, or she got into her mommy's makeup stash, or she has natural pink fur...weird. After the feline photoshoot was over, and I was walking away, I turned around and the adorable kitty was following me home! Molly would have just LOVED that.

Springtime.
With the spring solstice come and gone, I've noticed quite a bit of blooming flowers. This one happened to catch my eye and I just had to take a picture. Sometimes I feel weird taking pictures of random people's flowers and other belongings, but I really doubt they will mind...
At least, I hope not.

Palm Trees
If you didn't already know, I absolutely love palm trees. They remind me of home. Probably because the streets near my house are lined with palm trees and when I was little, I always recognized it as "about five minutes to Grandma and Grandpa's house." My parents move around a lot, but my grandparents have lived in the same house all my live, so this place is like, the one constant place in my life that feels like home.

Medicine
Headache today. I couldn't figure out what to take a picture of until I finally decided it was time to take some medicine. I think this picture turned out pretty nicely. :]

Molly
Molly can be absolutely adorable sometimes, like in this picture, but usually, she's not. More like a spoiled brat dog who is used to being treated like a princess. She barks constantly, which gets really annoying, pretty quickly. Life just wouldn't be the same without her though.

Clouds and Palm Trees
The first picture with the palm trees is stunning. I would love it even more if it weren't for the other random trees and power lines, but I can only do so much from my tree surrounded backyard. I love the way the sky gets noticeably lighter as your eyes travel down the picture and it ends with the remains of the sun as it goes down for the night.
The second picture is obviously edited. I took a picture of just clouds and I noticed that this one kind of had the shape of a C. After searching for a cloud-like font and typing out my Caitmonster nickname, this was the result. I could have probably have done more to it, but that would have taken a lot more time. Maybe I will some other day. :]

Blockbuster
Two pictures today! I was at work for very long time today and it was pretty slow until about 4 PM. At one point, I decided to take out my camera and snap a few pictures of the movies and candy, which is something I have wanted to do since I first started working at Blockbuster, but I never got a chance to before. I really like how the M&M's are really crisp and the focus in this picture, but even though the other candies aren't as emphasized, you still get the idea.
I also bought about five dollars worth of candy today so this picture is a great representation of that. I found out we had regular Starbursts and they weren't the gummy Starburst we usually carry and I had to get some. I also bought a Snickers Bar, Hershey's Cookies and Cream, Plain M&M's, and Haribo Gummy Bears.

Absolutely Beautiful
For some unknown reason, I love having makeup and jewelry scattered all over my dresser. I hardly ever actually use it, but it makes great decorations. My parents sell Avon so a lot of my makeup and a little bit of my jewelry has come from there, but the rest is just random stuff I have collected over the years.

Le Disco
I had a difficult time trying to decide what to take a picture of today. I was sitting on my bed and noticed my disco ball sitting on my shelf. I hardly ever actually use it, but my cousins love playing with it when they come over. So, I noticed it and I wondered what would happen if I took a picture of it. I expected it to be pretty blurry, but I didn't think this picture was all that bad. Maybe I'll try again when I get a better camera.

Study, Study, Study!
While waiting for my math class to start, I had been trying to study for my history midterm that I have tomorrow. The studying didn't get very far, but it did make for a wonderful photo op.
Apparently, everyone and their grandmother owns a pencil similar to the one pictured. They are truly amazing pencils and a sad day it will be when I finally lose it. I do have a teal pencil on hand for when that day does decide to come though.

Never too late...
This is definitely not the best picture, but it's a wonderful start. I really liked this picture of a clock because it represents time and how it's never too late to do something you really want to do.
I have been thinking about doing a 365 Project for about a year now, but it wasn't until recently that I felt like it would be a great idea.
First of all, my inspiration has a cycle. During spring, my inspiration is at it's peak. All of the flowers and plants in bloom and the little animals scurrying about, I live for those kind of things. I keep my inspiration for most of the year, until winter hits. Especially this past year. Back in November, I had fractured a metatarsal in my right foot while at school and could barely walk for about a month and a half. Before then, I would take walks all the time with my camera in hand and snap a picture of everything. But after the foot injury, I stopped doing that and the inspiration waned drastically.
Another Spring, another time for the inspiration to build up! I probably should have started this project at the beginning of the year, but better late then never~
