Great Big Eyes and Teeny Tiny Hands

We got a visit from a cute little baby today. 

Laying in her Uncle's Arms, she opens her eyes up wide and watches the football game.

Her tiny fingers clasp his and her body jolts as she hiccups.

 

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

This piggy tailed girl was making a birthday card for her grandpa and gave me a great big smile while I was taking pictures of her doing so.  I love my cousin.  She's so cute. :]

He Loves Her Already

A few members of the Daddy's family came to visit the new baby today.  Uncle Daniel was holding Heaven when her auntie walked in the door, washed  her hands and swooped that baby right out of his arms.  He was heart broken.  Poor guy.
This picture was taken later when he got her back.  He really loves that adorable baby.

It's Baby Time!

I got a call at seven in the morning from a boy who was frantic and needed me to go to the hospital RIGHT AWAY. You would have thought he was the one having the baby.  Eventually, he calmed down.

We waited in the waiting room for five hours and then we heard the great news.  The boyfriend was now officially an uncle and his sister had a beautiful baby girl.  Heaven.

Later that day, we were celebrating our One Year Anniversary, which is actually on the 22nd.  We went to the movies and walked out of a Seven Psycopaths showing because it was disgusting and went to Babies R Us to get Baby Heaven a toy.  That baby girl is going to be spoiled!

Pumpkin Patch Pyramid

I needed to take some pictures for my photography class so the boyfriend and I went to the pumpkin patch!  There was a million pumpkins, migrant workers, a pyramid and maze and even a tractor ride! Pumpkin patches are one of the reasons I love this time of Autumn.

Backyard Pizza Party

My friend had an assignment due that he needed oil pastels for, but he couldn't find them.  I brought him home so he could use mine.  We got some pizza and had a little party in the backyard.  He finished the assignment just in time for his class and now I hear his family loves me for saving his butt. :]

Baby Shower Cupcakes

The boyfriend's sister had her baby shower today and I was the photographer.  These cupcakes are adorable and they have little frosting feet on the top!  I had a lot of fun and I even won a prize for knowing what different types of baby animals are called.

SANFRANCISCO!

I took BART to San Francisco to meet my photography class at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.  I got a little lost while walking to the museum, but I made it just in time.  The class took a tour through the Cindy Sherman exhibit and then we were free to go. 

My friend Amanda and I looked at some of the other exhibits and then we left to find food.  Every block looked the same.  It had the same stores and restaurants and a bunch of people hurrying to their destinations.  Amanda and I ended up stopping at 7-11.  I got nachos and a slurpee.

We ate our food on some steps, Gossip Girl style and we watched the people pass us by.  I was taking a ton of pictures of the buildings and this guy told us that we could go up to the roof of one building, so we tried.  It was so cool. There were benches and a little garden on the rooftop.

Amanda had to go home, so we walked back to the BART station, but I wasn't ready to leave, so I walked around, taking more pictures.  I stopped in a DSW store that had FIVE floors and tried on the boots that I really want.

Moonlight

The sunsets during  night class breaktime went away.  Now we see the moon.  I love how I captured the crispness of the moon in this picture and all of the city lights.  The outline of the hills. Oh and the colors of the setting sun! Beautiful :]

Church Boy

"I think that this picture shows how much I appreciate the girlfriend's ability to capture a moment. I was just thinking about how attractive she looked to me. The shirt was always to small for me and now it is just a little to large. This was an hour or so before service started and I probably should not have been looking at her like this, but I was. Lol."

Maternity Pictures, Take 2

I had planned to visit the boyfriend's cousin with him, but his sister called me in the morning and asked if I could finish her maternity pictures since her husband had the day off.  The photos took priority so I did them, of course.  While waiting for her to be ready, I sat at a park and read a book, Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.  I got thirsty, so I went to McDonald's for the first time in FOREVER and got a large sprite, a chocolate sundae, and some fries.  How did I forget that their fries were so yummy? The world may never know.

I got bored at the park, so I went to Michael's because I had lost my favorite paintbrush.  They didn't have it, but they did have scrapbook paper on sale.I got a few books of it and an actual scrapbook so I could start on the one that I wanted to make for the boyfriend and myself.

While I was at Michael's, Kelly called me so we went to The Lake.  We got attacked by a goose, fed some ducks and had an awesome time.  After we were finished with the photos, We got dinner at Red Robin and spent the rest of the night at their parents house.

This is Jose

I have this friend. His name is Jose.  Quite often, when I see him, he asks me to take a picture of him, so I do.  He hardly ever makes a serious face when I do.  So I get pictures like this one of him, but I like that because I get to capture his personality in my photography. This is just Jose.

Accidental

I was walking up the hill at school and messing with my camera settings in the elevator.  I forgot I had changed them to monochrome when I took this picture.  I previewed it and was like "How did it get black and white?" Then I remembered.

Cinnastacks at IHOP

The boyfriend and I were starving before church today, so we went to the International House of Pancakes. IHIOP! I didn't get pancakes though. Isntad, I got the Cinnastacks French Toast, which was DELICIOUS!

I love the picture Daniel took of me while I was eating, but not nearly as much as I loved that food. ;]

MOVIETIME

Daniel says, "Grinding Man. That's all I have to say."

We went to the theater to see The Words, which happens to be an awesome movie. 

Ohlone Sunset

During my night classes, we took a break just as the sun was setting.  The sunsets from the top of the hill were absolutely beautiful, filled with all kinds of different colors.  I really like this one with the blues and the oranges.

Footprints in the Sand

Before school started, I made it my mission to to visit Santa Cruz. I had been DYING to go for awhile. Now that I finally got my own car and the boyfriend didn't have to worry about his, we took the trip.  I walked along the harbor and the beach.  Then down the train tracks and back to the beach. 

Selfie

"I love the way my hair curls without much effort from me and my eyes.  I've always loved how gorgeous they are when they mix between green and blue. I need more pictures of myself.  Being behind the camera all the time doesn't really provide much time in front, but the boyfriend is trying to change that."

Bay Bridge Tunnel

Okay...this photo was taken on Sunday. After church, the boyfriend and I went to his sister's house for dinner to watch a movie (Treasure Planet).  We had to cross this bridge to get to San Francisco, so I was taking pictures of it.  I love how the end of the tunnel frames the rest of the bridge that is to come.

Daniel Best

I'm not sure if he knew what it said or not, but the boyfriend asked me to take a picture of this cool looking building that we saw while walking to the bank after church. I find it amusing that his name is on it. Especially a phrase like "Daniel Best".  Ehh. He is the best :]
